The first Lemony S Lab 2022 ran from March 2022 - December 2022.

The second Lemony S Lab will run from July 2024 - March 2025.

What was it?

  • The Lab is a 10 month training program for professional artists interested in developing their puppetry and performance techniques.

  • The Lab will provide;

    • puppetry skills in numerous puppetry styles

    • theatre making skills

    • writing for puppetry

    • masterclasses in Producing, Lighting, Sound Design, Puppet Making. (Please note; Masterclasses are designed only to give participants a brief overview)

    • opportunities to meet with industry experts

    • opportunities to perform

The Details

  • 20% of places in the Lab are reserved for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Creatives

  • It is free to attend the Lab.

  • The Lab will run one evenings 6-9.30pm in conjunction with the Victoria school terms (evening to be advised)

  • The Lab will be held in the Inner North of Melbourne (venue to be advised)

  • It is running from July 2024 - March 2025

  • There will be 3 performance outcomes for Lab participants;

Who can apply?

  • Any creatives over the age of 18 interested in developing skills in puppetry and creating a professional performance can apply.

  • Creatives from any discipline can apply.

  • You do not have to have had previous experiences in puppet theatre but experienced people are also encouraged to apply.
